One of the things that, for me, sustains some modicum, some semblance of what is right in the world is Sarah and, of course, all those precious creatures that have preceded her in my life.
Unconditional love trumps all the machinations of hypocrites and liars, politicians and pundits.
"Those friends thou hast, and their adoption tried,
Grapple them unto thy soul with hoops of steel." Hamlet - Shakespeare
Suffice it to say, Sarah is my friend.

Thanks for the lovely quote and the wonderful picture. I appreciate that amidst all the ghastly things relating to the election you can remind us of the beauty in life.
Truly, the Bard knew what love meant.
And LOVE >IS< the answer!
Love yer blog George - and you.
Keep writing!
(pats Sarah on head gently)
So, has she started coming into the house or does she still like to stay outdoors? Inquiring minds want to know . . . :)
Anon, Doogman, Suz - thank you for your comments.
Suz: Sarah's "special time" in the house is right after dinner. She feeds on attention (tummy scratches, especially). Actually, I spend more time with her outside than she spends with us inside. She's coming into her winter coat, so she does get hot in the house.
